Oct. 06, 1978 - October 6th, 1978 - Demonstration against the M25. A group of mothers and children wearing mock gas masks marched through London on Saturday to protest against the proposed routing of the M25 across the playing fields of an RC school at Ashstead, claiming the children will be exposed to the risk of lead poisoning from exhaust fumes.
