Jan. 01, 1968 - JOINT PRODUCTION AGREEMENT OF THE ANGLO-FRENCH AIRCRAFT JAGUAR SIGNED. The joint production agreement was signed in London today for the Anglo-French JAGUAR, a supersonic strike / fighter trainer aircraft being built in four versions for the British and French air forces. The aircraft, which is supersonic at low level and should achieve Mach 1.7 at altitude, is powered by two Rolls Royce Turbomeca Adour engines. BAC is building the wing, near fuselage and tail unit, with final assembly carried out in France by mixed teams of Breguet and BAC engineers. Signing the agreement for Britain were MR. DENIS HEALEY, Minister of Defence and MR. JOHN STONEHOUSE, the Minister reeponsible for aviation, and signing for France was M. PIERRE MESSMER, Minister forthe Armed Forces. KEYSTONE PHOTO SHOWS: MR.
