Thirty-nine year old KARL SOMMERFIELD the man who invented the Tin-Lino - the portable road end airfield surfaces which kept planes and armys moving during vital periods of the war appeared before the Royal Commission on Awards to Inventors at Somerset House again this morning. He is claiming £75, 000 Royalties on £7, 000, 000 worth of the lino used by Britain during the war.
