Dr. Geoffrey Crisp is leading the entomological section of a team sent from Britain by the British Empire Society to investigate the causes of blindness in the Country of the Blind'. The team has set up its main bases in the Northern Territories of the Gold Coast, Africa, territories that have earned the awesome title because of the prevalence of blindness. Picture Shows: Dr. Geoffrey Crisp and assistants examine a cage set up on tree branches in the Black Volta, tributary of the River Volta. The Simulium fly, believed to transmit the disease, is bred in the cage and Crisp is investigating its habits
