Jul. 07, 1954 - Operation on a Two year old Boy - televised; The beating heart of a two year old boy was televised yesterday during an operation. It was all part of the meeting of the experts which forms the British Association of Pediatric Surgeons, at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London. The operation was performed by Mr. David Waterston and the TV camera was aimed over his shoulder. The boy had a complicated disease of the heart and Mr. Waterston said he would probably die within 12 years if the operation were not performed.
