May 31, 1957 - Dr. Adams takes a day off to watch operations - on closed circuit colour T.V. -- Dr. John Bodkin Adams was to be seen among many other doctors and surgeons - when he attended the colour TV closed circuit transmission - from St. Bartholomew's Hospital. The operations being carried out at the Hospital were screened for the experts at the Royal College of Surgeons - in connection with the Anglo - French Congress of Surgeons. The Doctor traveled up from Eastbourne specially to see the transmission - he said that the fascinating development would interest any general practitioner. Photo shows Dr. John Bodkin Adams, with his arms folded - takes his eyes off the screen for a moment
