Aug. 30, 1957 - Scientific Sensation: A group of French scientists under the direction of Dr. Rybak, working the research Laboratory of Banuyls-Sur-Mer (dept. of Pyrenees) have achieved startling results after three years of experimental work. Hearts of animals separated from the body and put into a physiological liquid have been found to continue beating for as long as a few weeks.
