Nov. 11, 1959 - Doctor's Hobbies Exhibition: The third annual Doctors Hobbies Exhibition, organized by Benger Laboratories Ltd - opened today at the British Medical Associations headquarters, Tavistock Square. Photo shows One of the most unusual and revolutionary exhibits in the exhibition is Dr. C.F. Lyburn, of Tunbridge Well's steam bath with refrigeration unit to cool the head seen here with his wife Mrs. M. Lyburn at the Exhibition. By causing a patient's neck and head to be placed in deep freeze, the body can be subjected to very high temperature with complete safety for thirty minutes. The work of the sweat gland is increased, giving immediate relief to thrombosis of any kind. This invention may prove to be a unique life saver
