Put incurably ill 80 year old patient to sleep Fifty year old Dr. Maurice Millard of Leicester caused a sensation when he stated in a Rotary Club speech that he had put an incurably ill 80 year old patient to sleep, said yesterday that it was nonsense to call it a mercy killing. He said that all he did was to given her a drug to put her to sleep and to keep her asleep until she died.
