Nov. 11, 1958 - Victor Banner visits the Foreign office with his 120 M.P.H. car.: Victor Banner the 40 year old missile engineer this morning paid a visit to the Foreign Office. His job in Canada had ended so he drove his wife and their family down to New York intending to board a liner for Britain. While on a sightseeing trip to Washington he lost his wallet containing £600. He went to the British Embassy and they paid £288 for the family to travel to Britain. Mr. Banner said nothing about his sleek 120 H.P. Ranch Wagon to the Embassy authorities- the car was shipped to Britain - and according to Mr. Banner the freight charges of £170 were paid with a private loan form an American naval officer. Photo shows Mr. Victor Banner with his 120 mph Ranch Wagon outside the Foreign Office this morning
