Dec. 12, 1958 - The radioactivity of the Munich air.. is now daily measured in the German museum. As matrix of the atom-physic-department a new instrument was installed which everybody can see. This air monitor watches permanently the content of radio-active dust, which the air contains. An air current is being sucked up by a filter band on which the concentrated dust which the air contains settles down. The strength of the radio-activity of the absorbed dust particles is measured in a Szintillation Meter and the number of radiation impulses per minute are put down by a writing instrument. Now everyone in Munich can convince himself in the German Museum of how strong the radio-activity of the air is.
