Feb. 28 Dr. Ernest Chain at work in Italy; famous Briitsh Partner of Alexander Flaming carries on with Italian Backing in Rome; One of the three scientists who discovered and perfected the wonder drug penicillin, Dr. Ernest Chain is now working in a state sponsored laboratory of bio chemistry in Rome. After working during the war withe Sir Alexander Flaming, Dr. Chain wanted to open a laboratory or bio chemistry institute here, but no finances or facilities were forthcoming.
