First Radio Clock 22.1.53. Mr. S.J. Smith, a development of a South London firm, this evening showed the first clock controlled by radiated time signals. Smith, in his 70, invented the clock; it is an apparatus controlled by Tim, the Post Office clock, and by signals every second from the Rugby wireless station. The clock accuracy is absolute. If the pendulum is out of phase by one thousandth of a second the radio signal will bring it to order.
