Mar. 22 Britain first heart transplant operation team hold conference; Members of the team which carried out Britain's first heart transplant operation, today held a conference at the National Heart Hospital, Marylsbone, where operation was carried out yesterday. Leader of the team was Mr. Donald Ross, 45 year old South African born consultant surgeon, and his senior assistants were Mr. Donald Longmore, one of Britain's leading physiologists, and Mr. Keith Ross, a leading cardiac surgeon, who is unrelated to Mr. Donald Roar. The recipient of the new heart is described as a being as satisfactory as can be expected after any transplant operation.
