Aug. 09, 1961 - Uruguayan Doctor claims to have discovered new anti-cancer drug: A Montevidec doctor Federico Dias (right) is the discoverer of a new drug currently being marketed in Uruguay. The tablets called Lisado De Corazon or S.J. 29 are claimed to combat cancer. Their dale has been permitted conditionally by the Uruguayan Minister of Helath while further research and testing continues. it is believed that the drug does indeed stop the effect of cancer, but the question as to whether it can cure cancer remains yet unsolved.
