Oct. 27, 1961 - 27.10.61 Danish Nuclear Laboratory tracks down radioactivity The Danish Nuclear Laboratory at Riisoe is playing an important part in keeping the world informed of the increase of radioactivity in the air following the latest series of Soviet tests. Located only about 2500 kilometres from the Russian test zone, the alb is one of the first in the Western world to note increases resulting from new blasts. Photo Shows: The little cup held over the Bunsen burner contains dust which has been extracted from the atmosphere by a giant vacuum cleaner. The dust will now be checked for radioactivity
