May 12, 1960 - Press Visit To Isotope Research Laboratories: The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority today arranged a press visit to its Isotope Research laboratories at Wantage, Berkshire. In 1836 Harwell's Isotope Research Division, which is responsible for research into the uses of radioisotopes and of large sources of radiation, started to transfer its work to a new site near Wantage, and the new laboratories are now hearing completion. Photo Shows: Mr. Brian Entwistle, an officer of the laboratories, placing a bunch of grapes into a cannister for irradiation today
