May 13, 1960 - Oslo Professor makes Great Medical Discovery: Dr. Jens Dedichen, Professor of Medicine at Oslo University, has in co-operation with two leading Norwegian bio-chests - Per Laland and his father Soren Laland, was discovered a substance which greatly increases the power of the human body to resist infections. The substance is not a vaccine - but it appears to have the effect of an all round vaccination. The substance will be investigated further and produced as a medicine. It strengthens has been tested with animals with marked success - and how tests have been carried out with personnel of the Norwegian Army and proved that it helps greatly in the resistance against the common cold and allied complaints.
