Feb. 02, 1964 - Another Professor to Join the Brain Drain'.: Yet another of Britain's top scientists, 56 -year-old Professor David Catheside who is in charge of the Department of Microbiology at Birmingham University, has announced that he is leaving the country. He is to go to the Australian National University at Canberra where he is to form a Department of Genetics- the study of heredity. Professor Catcheside, who has been carrying out research into Cancer and other diseases, is taking two members of his research team with him from Birmingham.
