Feb. 14, 1964 - Achen Scholars produce synthetic Insulin: Until now, Insulin, which is required by diabetes sufferers, could only be obtained from the pancreas of animals, but now, after eight years of research scientists of the Technical High School at AACHEN in Germany have achieved a breakthrough by developing a synthetic type of Insulin, thus putting them ahead of scientists of other natiions includig America who have been working on similar projects.
