Nov. 11, 1962 - Kidney Donor Honoured as Man Of The Year': Dr. David Spencer, 32-year-old general practitioner who gave one of the his kidneys to save a colleague's life, was honoured as one of the Man Of The Year at a London luncheon today. Teh Operation which saved 34-year-old Dr. Ian Clark two months ago was described as a miracle of Medici: it was the first time a kidney had been successfully grafted between two persons not closely related: in fact the two doctors hardly knew one another. Dr. Spencer offered his kidney when he learned at the Middle sex Hospital that a kidney graft was the only way of saving hid fellow- doctor.
