May 05, 1968 - All set for Britain's first heart transplant. Everything was set this afternoon for the first British heart transplant to take place at the National Heart Hospital, Marylebone. The two surgeons involved are Mr. Donald Ross and Mr.Keith Ross, who are not related, assisted by Mr. Donald Longmore, the physiologist.
