Nov. 11, 1965 - Vietcong Man Trap. One of the many bobby-traps thought up by the Vietcong is suspended inside a hut above a door, a trip wire releases it from the roof and it comes swining down chest-high so that the spikes of bamboo pierce the unlucky person to open the door. which has been removed so that the photograph can show the deadly apparatus. Sometimes the Vietcong have made them with steel spikes, the whole thing weighing 500 pounds so that the victim is impaled
