Feb. 02, 1969 - Heart-transplantation in Munich: The first heart-transplantation in the German medicine took place today (13.2) in the Munich University Hospital by a team of about 30 persons, leaded by Professor Dr. Rudolf Zenker (and Prof. Dr. Werner Klinner). The recipient was a 36 years old man, who got the heart of a woman, who was killed by an accident. The transplantation was successful. Photo shows Professor Dr. Med.
