Feb. 18, 1971 - President of the Federal Republic informs himself about Modern Rehabilitation ? During a stay in Heidelberg (Germany) Dr. Gustav Heinemann visited the institution of the Professional Assistance Association, a concentrated institution of several insurance carriers particularly of trade associations. There men and women who, after having had accidents during their work or after having suffered from occupational disease, can?t work any more in their profession are educated for other professions after having finished the medicinal rehabilitation. OPS: President Heinemann also visited the electronic-measuring laboratory of Heidelberg?s Professional Assistance Association where handicapped are educated as electronic-technicians.
