Oct. 30, 1969 - October 30th, 1969 Nobel Prize for London professor Professor Derek Barton, of the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Imperial College of Science, London, is joint winner of the 1969 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. Professor Barton, 51, shares the £30, 000 prize equally with professor Odd Haesel, 72 of Oslo University.
