Apr. 06, 1971 - April 6th, 1971: Professor Feodor Lynen 60 years Old: On April 6th, 1971, biochemist Professor Dr. Feodor Lynen, born and living in Munich (Germany), will celebrate his 60th birthday. Prof. Lynen is director of the Max-Planck-Institute for cell chemistry and chairman of the biochemical institute of Munich's university. For his investigations of the mechanism and the regulation of the metabolism of fatty acid and cholesterine which started the treatment of circulatory diseases he was awarded in 1964 - together with the American Professor Konrad Bloch - the Nobel Prize for medicine.
