Nov. 11, 1972 - Surgeon who operated on Mill Reef given notice to quit house.: Mr. Edwin James Roberts, 54, the racehorse surgeon who operated on champion racehorse Mill Reef when the colt fractured its left fore cannon bone and fetlock, has been given notice to quit hi small lodge house at Lanwades Park, Kentfors, Suffolk. The house is owned by the Animal Health Trust, which manages the Equine Research Station at Kentford. Mr. Roberts was employed at the station for 20 years until September last year and left after a dispute over clinical research policy.
