Anderson, a consulting engineer at the General Electric Research and Development Center in Schenectady, N.Y. The automatic data collection platform will be used to measure strength variations in certain radio signals transmitted from a geostationary space satellite. Mr. Anderson is holding part of the command-and-control circuitry that will be used to operate the device via satellite. A 00, 000 contract for building the unit was awarded to GE by the Transportation Systems Center of the U.S. Department of Transportation
