1977 - Royal Greenwich observatory exhibition Herstmonoeux castle sussex opened by a Patrick Moore. The Royal Greenwich observatory, Herstmonoeux Castle, Sussex was opened today as a permanent exhibition on astronomy who who is well known for his television programme The Sky at Night The exhibition the first of its kind ever mounted at the Observartory is being housed in a part of the Castle, and members of the public will still be able to visit the castle. It will display the history of the Observatory and Castlwe, and Castle, something about future development.
