Oct. 10, 1979 - 100-Birthday Of Max Von Laue (+): Hundred years ago on the 9th October 1879 in Pfaffenhofen nearby Koblenz/West Germany the German physician Max Von Laue (picture) was born. Laue, a pupil of Max Planck applied already in the year 1906 in his habilitation writing the term of entropy successful of interfering beams. He discovered the diffraction of X-ray beams of crystals (laue method) and was participated on the further developing of the theory of relativity - particularly he advanced a relativistic thermo dynamics and gave a theory of supra-conduction. The physician was professor in Zuerich, Frankfurt, Berlin and Goettingen and director of the Fritz Haber-institute (Max Planck association) in Berlin-Dahlem. 1914 Max von Leue was honoured with the Nobel Prize for physics. He died in the case of a car-accident on the 24th April 1960 in Berlin
