Feb. 02, 1981 - Order Of Merit For Sir Peter Medawar: Sir Peter Medowar, 65, the medical scientists, who won the Nobel Prize for work on transplants in 1960, and was Knighted in 1965 and was director of the Medical Research Council, and is now engaged on cancer research. Was one of three new members of the Order of Merit announced by Buckingham Palace yesterday. The other two are Lord Olivier, 73, and Group Captains Cheshire, V.C. 63.
