1961 - Dr. Edward L. Tatum Member And Professor The Rockefeller Institute Biographical Information Nobel Prize winner In 1958: Dr. Edward L. Tatum has been a member and professor of the Rockefeller Institute since January 1, 1957. He previously had been professor of Biochemistry and head of the department at Stanford University. The Rockefeller Institute is a graduate university and scientific research center in the life sciences. Dr. Tatum's field of research is the study of the genetics and metabolism of bacteria, years and molds. His research is aimed at a clear understanding, the molecular level, of how genes determine the characteristics of living organisms
