Jun. 06, 1959 - British Scientists Leave For The United States. Space Discussions With American Experts. Five British scientists left London Airport for the United States to discuss Space techniques and development of the forthcoming British Space programme. They are:- Dr. R.L.F. Boyd; Mr. J. Gait of the R.A.F. Establishment; Mr. M.O. Robins of the Royal Society; Professor J. Bayers (Prof. of Physics, Birmingham) and Dr. G. D. Robinson (Deputy Director of The Met. Office).
