Mar. 22 Submarine Sinks In The North Sea. A German submarine was reported today to have sunk in the North Sea yesterday evening. The report from a British which said it had picked up a survivor. The St Mar from lowest also r ourmore men in the water. The traveller identified the submarine by the NATO number S170. This is the number of the Hamburg-built West German submarine Der Hai (Shark). The Shark with a crew of 15 was built in 1945 and sank at the end of the Second World War. She was raised in 1965 and re-commissioned in October 1957.
