Nov. 11, 1964 - Murder conference aboard the Queen Mary, detectives and the Captain: Detectives form Scotland Yard went aboard the luxury liner - Queen Mary yesterday - to interview many members of the crew in their efforts to obtain a lead on the murder of taxi driver 60 year old George Newberry. He was found battered to death in a Lover's Lane seven miles from Southampton on October 21st. He had driven men from the liner in Southampton for many years - and on the night of his death - two men were seen getting into a taxi near the Queen Mary - the following day the liner sailed.
