Devon farmers with sheep protest in Exeter
Jan. 01, 1970 - Devon Farmers Demonstrate in Exeter: Angry farmers clashed with police at Exeter yesterday during demonstrations against the Minister of Agriculture, Cledwyn Hughes who visited the Ritz Hotel and addressed the annual meeting of the Devon National Farmers Union. As the meeting was going on many farmers marched past the hotel protesting for better incomes. Picture Shows: Five sheep which got through the police cordon and reached the Exeter Hotel where the minister of Agriculture addressed angry farmers on price reviews yesterday
