Dec. 12, 1957 - Diana Dors tells the court that a police constable was showing off: Diana Dors, the film star, went into the witness box at clerkenwell court today and alleged that a police constable threw himself across the bonnet of her car to show off before a crowd of people. She was giving evidence at the resumed hearing of charges against her friend. Thomas yeardye. Hes charged with assaulting and obstructing police constable Roy Anderson at Hammersmith on Nov. 29th he is also summoned for dangerous driving and failing to stop when signaled. yeardye was fined £63 and disqualified from driving a car for twelve months.
