Jun. 06, 1981 - Youth Fires Six Blank Shot At The Queen During Trooping Ceremony: As the Queen was riding down the Mall for the Trooping the Colour ceremony on Horse Guards Parade on Saturday, 17 year-old Marcus Simon Sargeant fired six blank shot at her from a replica pistol, making her horse Burmese bolt for a few yards before she got it under control she then carried on for the Trooping Ceremony. Sergeant was arrested and appeared at Bow Street Court today charged under Section Two of the Treason Act, 1942.
