Dimitar Inkiow, Bulgarian writer of children's books, Munich

Dec. 26 Dimitar Inkiow writes for his son but is read by hundreds of thousands of Children: It is a sad story which the successful author of children's book Dimitar Inkiow can tell about his life: the 41 year old author had to leave his native country Bulgaria ten years ago because of his dissident stories and plays. The writer, who now lives in Munich and works with Radio Free Europa had to leave his wife behind, who was expecting a child then. She has not seen him yet, except in pictures. Since he cannot tell all the fiery tales which come to his mind to Janaki himself he started to write them down and published them. Hundreds of thousands of children know and like them and Janaki himself also does of course, since his father rings him up once a month and talks to him. Come to Munich has failed until now, he is not going to give up and will go on trying
