Feb. 25 Paris Conquered by this Swiss Clown: Yesterday night, the audience at the Theatre des Vieux Colombiers loudly applauded Dimitri, a clown from Switzerland, 29 years old, Dimitri was long a potter before turning to mime and gaining his first successes in Basel. His reputation quickly grew and one of his most enthusiastic spectators was Charlie Chaplin. Yesterday night, on the Parisian stage, Dimitri proved to be one of the funniest men alive and won a rousing ovation at the end of his one man show.
