Sep. 09, 1954 - Jean Paul Satre rushes to Vienna only to protest against staging of his Les mains sales'!!! Jean Paul Sartre rushed to Vienna inly to protest agains staging of his lies mains sales the premier of which took place on Friday night at the Deutsches Volks-theater in Vienna. As big sensation began at the Hotel Sacher, a press conference at exactly the same time when the final rehearsal started at the Deutsches Volks-theater'. Many local and all Foreign journalists participated. Sartre started:'I have no power to prevent this performance but I protest against it as it is qualified to aggravate the tensions between East and West.. This play was written in 1942 not against the Communism but to demonstrate the conflict between different resistance groups. Sartre asserted aslo that his agent gave the play to a publisher without his consent. He asked a lawyer here to object against the staging but no other steps are intended as he told.
