Jan. 01, 1957 - She's Britain's Youngest Director. Eight year old Margaret Redsell is Britain's youngest director. Last year she earned &500, she pays income tax and runs a 500 acre market garden in spare time. Margaret is the daughter of farmer Tom Redsell, of Nash court, Boughton, near Canterbury. The family has 2, 500 acres - ten farms scattered from Yalding to the Isle of Thanet across 40 miles of Kent. Father, mother, 24 year old son Anthony and Margaret are all directors of the four family companies, owning orchards, hopfields, dairy herds, and market gardens. Margaret gets up at 5.30 a.m. to drive with her father across his land, goes back for breakfast, and catches the school bus.
