Director - Playwrights - Producer - Screenwriter

1952 - The manager of the first cinemascope film Henry Koster came from America to Munich on August 31st. The film The Robe in the production of the 20th Century Fox may be regarded without glasses but it demands a very broad screen. Star of the film is Jean Simmons. The film in technicolor shows 53 actors in leading parts, 83 subordinate parts and 3700 supers. After his own words the leap from the usual film to the cinemascope which was invented by the French Professor Chretien was as large as the leap from the silent film to the sound film. The first film of this kind tells the story of a Roman soldier who took part in the crucifixion of Christ and becomes a Christian himself. The first night for Europe is to be in Frankfurt in November 1953
