Mar. 31 5.12.7980: 90th. Birthday of Fritz Lang (+) On December 5th the well-known drector and producer of films Fritz Lanz would have become 90 years old. Born 1890 in Venna, during the Republic o Weimar he was the most genius film director. 1919 he shot his first film Halbblut (Half -blood), but 1921 he became famous with the strip Der mude Tod (The weary death), a perfected play of light and shadow and the standing out of architectural structures. Then he made such successful films like Dr. Marbuse, der Spieler (1922) (Dr. Marbuse, the gambler), Die Nibelungen) (1924), Metropolis (1926), M-enine Stadt sucht einen Morder (1931) (M-a twon hunts for a murderer) and Das Testament des Dr. Marbuse (1933) (The last will of Dr. Marbuse), which was fordbidden by the Nazis'. Fritz lang emigrated over Paris to Hollywood, and there he continued his carreer. AT the end of the fifties, hes hot again in West Germany. Because he only reached a moderate success with his films Der Tiger von Eschnapur Das indische Grabmal (The Indian tomb) as well as with Die 1000 Augendes Dr. Marbuse (Dr. Marbuse's 1000 eyes), he disappointed went back to Hollywood. Fritz Lang died on August 2nd.1976 at the age of 85 X of Germany
