Just after the war, the American film director Fred Zinnemann (FRED ZINNEMANN) known by his films High Noon and Condemned in Eternity turned in the ruins of Munich, Ansbach, Ingolstadt and Nuremberg the impressing film The Search'. Now, after 14 years of great success all over the world (the film was awarded three Oscars), the film was shown for the first time in Germany in Munich. Film director Zinnemann interrupted his flight from Rome to Paris to be present at the first performance of his film in Munich, where at the time several scenes were turned among the ruins.
