May 05, 1980 - 175th Day Of Death Of Friedrich Von Schiller: At May 9th, 1805 died in Weimar during working on his play Demetrius, Friedrich von Schiller (Friedrich Von Schiller, our picture shows a contemporary engraving). He was burried in the night from 11th to 12th May 1805 on the cemetery of the Jakobschurch and from there transported to the sovereigns vault on May 16th. Schiller, born at November 10th 1759 in Marbach as son of an army-surgeon and a proprietors daughterstudied first law and later from 1775 physics. At beginning of his work stands the conflict between instinct and intellect, nature and freedom in the foreground, From beginning the idea of freedom was maintained glowing by Schiller and so he worked this idea out in several plays and in various manners. His first works belongs to the literarical periode of the Storm and Stress'. The later plays of Schiller which are impressed from the unfailing sense of dramatical raising and which reach with the means of the stage emotional effect are changed in their main problems. Now they deals from the conflict of the human between physical necessity ad moral freedom. In the prose works Schille reaches with his philosophical papers his artistically culmination
