Dec. 12, 1976 - 75 years ago, on December 9th 1901, the dramatist Odon Von Horvath (picture) was born at Fiume (now: Rijeka), which was at that time a Hungarian harbour. Until 1934 he worked in Murnau (bavarian) but then had to emigrate via Salzburg and Vienna to Paris, where he died in an accident in 1938. Odon von Horvath wrote a number of successful satirical plays, which deal with social life of the time between the two World Wars
