Dizzy Gillespie, jazz musician, and Mrs Lascelles

Jun. 06, 1963 - Kings of Jazz at Fort Belvedere.: Jazz-loving cousin of the Queen, Gerald Lascelles and his wife, were hosts to the American Jazzmen who have come over to play at Lord Montague of Beaulieu's international jazz festival which opens in Manchester tonight. They party was held at the Lascelles home, Fort Belvedere, Sunningdale. The three reigning Kings of Jazz from the U.S.A. were 45-year-old trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, high priest of modern jazz, 57-year-old Bud Freeman from Chicago, who used to play his saxophone in the Capone speakeasies of the prohibition era, and 51-year old trumpeter Buck Clayton.
