Dr Branco Jelic, chairman of Croat National Committee

Dec. 05, 1961 - Croat leader declares impeachment by Yugoslav consul as false. Dr. Branco Jelic, a medical practitioner living in Berlin, was recently characterised by Predrag Grabovac, the Yugoslav consul in Munich, as a Nazi-spy - the consul made this assertion when he at the same time protested against public charges in Germany that he is a murderer. Dr. Jelic, seen here, replied that in the thirties he was in Germany, 25 times imprisoned by the Gestapo, succeeding to escape from the Third Reich in 1939 and that he was then living in England up to 1949. He is chairman of the Croat National Committee, an organisation which represents democratic aims as he asserts
